Notes & Fragrance Structure

There are a few different descriptions, but combining them gives a fairly consistent picture. Here are the stages:

Stage Notes How It Tends to Smell / Feel
Top / Opening Aromatic geranium, spicy notes. Some sources also mention bergamot and/or jasmine. A slightly sharp, green‑aromatic opening. The geranium brings a floral/herbal edge; spice adds warmth/sharpness. If bergamot or jasmine are present, they lighten things a bit.
Heart / Middle Rose, cedarwood, labdanum, leather accents. The scent shifts into a richer, more resinous floral‑wood realm. Rose softens some of the sharper green top; cedar brings woods; labdanum adds sweetness & resin; leather (if noticeable) gives a touch of texture.
Base / Dry‑down Oud, ambergris (or amber), musk, woody notes.  The finish is warm, deep, rich. Oud gives the characteristic woody and slightly smoky / resinous foundation; musk & amber contribute roundness, comfort, and linger. The overall base is long‑lasting.

Character & Vibe

  • Overall Impression: Elegant, bold, with a balance between freshness/aromatic/floral top/mid and a deep, woody/oud base. It’s not ultra‑sweet or gourmand; instead it leans more toward luxurious woods + aroma‑spices + oud.

  • Mood / Personality: Think of something dignified, more formal or special‑occasion. Has enough complexity that it unfolds over time. Some smoky / leathery / resinous touches make it feel mature.

  • When / Where It Might Shine: Evening wear; cooler weather; times when you want something with presence. Probably best in fall/winter, or chilly nights. Could still work in more moderate weather if you like woody/oud perfumes.

Strengths & Considerations

Strengths:

  • Very good layering of stages — top to base transitions pretty well. The heart & base are especially rich.

  • The oud and woods come through with decent strength and persistence in many reports. The base notes linger.

  • Unisex appeal — it has enough fragrance character for those who like traditional deeper notes, but also floral/aromatic/lightness to not be overly heavy on everyone.

Things Some Users Might Not Like / Be Careful About:

  • The opening can be sharp or spicy/green — geranium + spice may feel “too much” for sensitive noses.

  • The leathery/resinous parts might lean a bit intense, especially on warm skin.

  • Because it’s quite woody / oud / resin heavy, some may feel it’s less fresh or more formal; may not be ideal if you want something light for daytime or hot climates.
