Bakhoor Pure Musk Incense 40g

What It Is

  • Pure Musk is a bakhoor (traditional Arabic incense) manufactured by Ard Al Zaafaran, U.A.E.

  • It’s sold in a block/bar format that resembles small chocolate‑style cubes; 40 g per pack.

  • The composition includes ingredients such as oudh powder, musk (particularly “white musk”), sandalwood, perfume oils, sugar, and some powdered woods or scented bases.

Fragrance / Scent Profile

What you can expect when burning it, in stages from first light to the dry down:

Stage What You Smell / Notes Character
Top / Initial Burn Warm, soft musk first; a gentle sweetness (from sugar / perfume oils), with maybe a faint whisper of woods (oudh & sandal) peeking through. It’s not sharp or aggressive — more gentle and comforting.
Middle / As It Burns More The woodsy notes come forward more: oudh gives a resinous woody depth; sandalwood adds creaminess. The musk remains central, combining with those woods to produce a warm, almost powdery‑woody fusion.
Dry‑Down (Afterburn / Lingering Smell) What remains is a gentle, enveloping musk with wood undertones. The scent settles into something soft, comforting — less smoke, more scent in fabrics and air. Powdery aspects may linger.

So overall the fragrance family is described as Musky – Woody – Powdery

Experience & Behaviour

  • Strength / Throw: It has a mild‑to‑moderate throw. It’s not among the most overpowering bakhoors, but it is noticeable and fills a room (or several rooms) especially when used with charcoal smoke.

  • Longevity: The scent tends to last well, particularly in soft furnishings, fabrics, or clothing after burning. Because the base is strong with musk and woods, even after the smoke has died down you’ll still perceive traces.

  • Smoothness: The transitions are expected to be gentle: from the soft musk top, through the woodiness, to dry‑down. This makes it approachable if one is sensitive to strong incense.

Best Uses & Suitability

  • Ambience: Great for creating a relaxing, cozy atmosphere. Ideal for evenings, quiet evenings at home, resting, meditation.

  • Settings: Bedrooms, sitting rooms, spaces where you want comfort and warmth rather than sharpness. It can also work in entryways to “set the tone” for a home.

  • Burn Style: Works well on charcoal burners. If you have an electric bakhoor burner, that also works, though the intensity of smoke and throw might be lower.

  • Amount: Use small pieces at first — the scent builds. Overloading or using too large a piece may make it heavier than comfortable.
